海の日

I'm back! and in the blink of an eye it's already past the 16th July PH.

The next holiday for me is .... 23rd Aug - 1st Sep! I'll be visiting Thailand, yay! I haven't been there properly before, and will be visiting Bangkok then Krabi. I hope the place is as beautiful as the pictures I see. Hopefully no drug dealers leftover from The Beach.

The very low period of my mood has passed over, thankfully, from the disappointment of not being able to visit XQ in San Francisco and making alot of mistakes at work. & this month has been pretty relaxed so far. Before long, it will be my 8th month here. Time really flies!!

In the 1 month plus, had 4/10 chalet, 61 day, our Program managers came to SG 2 times, (the next time I won't be here!! cos I'll be in Thailand!!) a few friends got attached. and we all got older by 1 month. haha.

Looking forward to 2 more trips after Thailand, probably will be going somewhere in October, maybe Japan in December for New Year. can't wait!!

Some Random Thoughts

Another few holidays have gone by since I been working here, and it's going to be my 5th Pay Day here! woohoo!

I don't know what I feel but I think I am not really enjoying my work so much when I don't get leeway in the way I do things. As long as I get things done fast and right, why do you feel the need to control us?

I wished I had more space to myself though. It had felt quite spacious when the neighbour hadn't come in, but since she joined us in March, i feel quite claustrophobic sometimes, and I had to be constantly aware if I had accidentally pushed my papers to her side or anithing, cos she said jokingly once that I was "invading" into her space but it sounded abit like she was trying to cover her annoyance, so I didn't want to let that happen again after that, dun wan to give her a chance to say me.

There won't be a PH for me until... July 16th. so so so far away. ya, I had a wk's break in March, but that was 2 months ago, and 2 months is a long time lor. But, in another 2 months' time, I would have cleared 1 year of my bond, and that's something to celebrate. I must try to save up more money in the meantime, but recently there have been so many incidents which required me to fork out money for unplanned purchases like replacing my Ipod, getting Birkies (ok that was an impulse but much needed), French class soon hopefully, and the next term of Japanese lesson starting soon too. argh. and also the Seattle work trip soon too. I can feel the hole in my pocket getting bigger and bigger.

新年快乐

Happy CNY everyone!

This is the first CNY for me in 2 years, but, since I am following the Japan calendar, there is no holiday for me, just a very busy weekend. I would prefer to just stay home and rest tomorrow b4 work starts on Monday again.

Work has been super hectic. but last week was very very relaxed cos of the delay in the tests (again, the hq's fault) and all the festivities in the office. V-day is just another normal day, except for the product launch event, and no flowers for me this year as well. haha. work ended at 7pm and it was just another day with the long bus journey home.

Relations with other colleagues at work has been good. We all have a common topic to gossip about, or to complain about. The APAC team people are very funny, and I'm glad they are very friendly now. since the people in my Japan team are of the avg age of 30, there is a slight age gap between us.

Another week or so till payday. i can't wait!

A month into the job

A month into the job and I have found many things wrong with the processes to pick bones with. Its not just me, other people doing the same job see the same problems too but no one is doing anything about them just yet. Hopefully I will be able to make a difference in the future?

Have done some OT days last month, and every time I do OT is until 11pm. tiring but i actually like it. Maybe i'm a workaholic in disguise. But I realise why too. the day is packed with Meetings (that wastes alot of time and discusses little things) and you are only able to get down to work at about 6pm when all meetings cease. sighz. I foresee alot of OT coming up this month as well.

There will be no chinese new year for me, since no CNY holidays in the Japan calendar. but at least next monday will be a public holiday for me. looking forward to this rest day for a chance to go get some stuff for myself done since I havent been out on the recent weekends due to piah-ing the projects and finishing up the exams. Its ok though, I dun like Chinese New year, ang bao money not worth it and I will see the same people i see throughout the year also..

There will be seat change next next week.. I hope I get to sit next to my team leader!!
